Asheville is a city located in western North Carolina, nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's famous for its historic architecture, including the Basilica of Saint Lawrence, and a vibrant arts scene highlighted by the River Arts District, which is home to a number of artist studios and galleries. The city is also renowned for its outdoor activities; nearby Pisgah National Forest offers plenty of hiking and biking trails, as well as waterfalls to explore. The Biltmore Estate, America's largest home, also calls Asheville home. The best times to visit Asheville are during the spring (April to June) and fall (September to early November) when the weather is mild and the scenery is breathtaking. Summers can be hot and humid, while winters are generally short and mild.
