Hefei is a city that's rapidly modernizing, yet it retains much of its historical charm. The city is home to the Anhui Provincial Museum, Xiaoyaojin Park, and the former residence of Li Hongzhang, a prominent Qing dynasty official. Hefei experiences four distinct seasons with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. The spring and autumn months (April to May and September to October) are the most comfortable times to visit, with moderate temperatures and pleasant weather. The summer months (June to August) can be quite hot, with temperatures often exceeding 35 degrees Celsius. Conversely, winter (December to February) can get quite cold, sometimes dropping below freezing.
