Koufonisia consists of three main islands: Kato Koufonisi, Pano Koufonisi, and Keros. The archipelago is famous for its idyllic beaches with crystal-clear waters, such as Pori Beach and Fanos Beach, making it a perfect summer destination. Visitors can enjoy a laid-back lifestyle, fresh seafood, and beautiful coastal paths for hiking. The peak season is from June to August, which offers the best beach weather but can be crowded and more expensive. The shoulder seasons (May and September) are also pleasant and less crowded. Winter months (November to March) are much quieter, with many businesses closing for the season, and the weather can be unpredictable, making it less ideal for beach activities.
