Pretoria, often overshadowed by its neighbor Johannesburg, is a city brimming with historical and cultural significance. Known as the administrative capital of South Africa, it houses many governmental institutions and foreign embassies. The city is renowned for its beautiful jacaranda trees that bloom in October, painting the streets purple. Among popular attractions are the Voortrekker Monument, the Union Buildings, and several diverse museums. The city usually enjoys good weather year-round, with hot summers (December to February) and mild winters (June to August). However, travel during autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) is most pleasant with moderate temperatures and less rainfall.
