Santiago is a bustling metropolis nestled between the Andes mountains and the Chilean Coastal Range. Its central location makes it an excellent gateway for exploring the diverse landscapes of Chile - from the Atacama Desert in the north to the Patagonian wilderness in the south. The city boasts historic neighborhoods such as Bellavista, known for its bohemian vibe and street art, and Lastarria, famous for its neoclassical architecture and dynamic cultural scene. Santiago's Mediterranean climate means hot, dry summers (December to February) and cool, wet winters (June to August). The least favorable time to visit would be the winter months due to occasional heavy rainfalls and lower temperatures.
