Winter (November–March) is rainy and gray, with frequent overcast days and occasional storms, though temperatures rarely drop below freezing. The shoulder seasons of April–May and September–October offer mild weather and fewer crowds, though rain is still common. Most digital nomads find spring and early fall most comfortable for working outdoors. Sequim is best suited for remote workers who prioritize outdoor access, solitude, and natural beauty over urban conveniences, nightlife, or cultural activities. The town lacks coworking spaces, specialized restaurants, and public transportation—a car is essentially mandatory. However, for those seeking a peaceful base near wilderness, affordable Pacific Northwest living, and strong community feel, Sequim is genuinely appealing. Be aware that this is a retirement community (median age skews older) and the pace is deliberately slow; fast internet is available but service quality varies by neighborhood.
